Is your phone big for your pocket? Don’t worry, if it is. You may now fold it. You may prefer a robust screen size of the phone that may never slip from your pocket. According to the reports, Samsung would soon launch a smartphone with folding display in 2017. The phone’s size would be 5 inches and have the 8-inch folding screen. Bloomberg suggests that phone may get launched early next year at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The device uses organic LED technology for the display. Samsung in CES 2013 showed the concept.

Publics have high expectation from their phones like battery life, processing power, and image capability. There is a massive market for working and bendable phone. If you have an unreliable black and white low-resolution screen, it is not a commercial prospect, as revealed by a researcher, Arvind Vijayaraghava, at the Manchester University. Samsung is operating the project under the codename – Project Valley.

According to the source, the company is planning to launch two devices eventually. These models are not likely to be flagships. It would just gauge the interest in phones with foldable screens in the market. However, it is not clear if both the devices will be launched at MWC next year. We have been hearing about the technology for quite some time now, and Samsung is not the only company experiment with the foldable screen tech. LG, Sony, and sharp are also working on it.

An executive at Samsung revealed to Bloomberg that the display could be folded into half like a cosmetic compact. The mobile maker, Oppo had earlier shown a bendable phone in May this year. Some attributes of a good phone are improving incrementally over the past few years. Another Chinese company named Moxi had also explained the working model of the bendable Smartphone with the black and white display.

The analysts predict that one of the Samsung phones would look like a bracelet that has been flattened to function like a phone. You may be reminded of the concept that was possessed by Nokia, specifically Nokia 888. The idea of bending and folding your screen may seem to be ultra futuristic, and it would change the mobile device market. By reducing the overall size of the device, the manufacturers may have to compromise on its specifications. This device is expected to appeal a particular audience. People often ask if I always knew that Softqube would become where it is today. I reply with smiling face no way. Because I not start business with specific business plan, we (Me & Nitin) just put our best, our 100% without any expectation.

I remember getting pizza with my friend (Nitin) one night at the time of when we were doing the job at Vadodara. I told him I was excited to start with something new creative and innovative. Want to create one ideal workspace where everybody love to work and spend time in company. So, since that time, I was not think about from where we generate the business, my first priority was to create nice employee friendly environment.

I always thought this was important — provide best workspace or environment to my employee, who are crazy for innovative and creative solution with respect to client need.

When I reflect on the last 7 years, one question I ask myself is: What I achieved in last 7 years? It is all for just for few money or self satisfaction? Why were we the ones to build this company (Softqube Technologies)? We (Me & Nitin) were just simple employee like you. No its not for just self satisfaction, its all about share happiness with better life. Start with single employee and now its about 53. I say my family is very big, and this is the success for me.

That’s why I’m even more excited about the next coming 5 years than the last 7 years. The first 7 years were about developing relation and testing our self and test our own strength. Now we have the better resources and all are mature enough to solve any size and kind of problem.

I can say today, only one-third of the world’s population use technologies. In the next coming decade, we have the lots of opportunities coming on the way along with responsibility to grow more as lightning speed. If we are all together as a team and put our 100% without focusing on what others are doing, then there is nobody can stop us. We are united family and must be act like united family.

Magento 2 is the latest Magento version that is used now days by most of the business owners. An important feature of Magento 2 is in-built full page cache. Further, it also supports Varnish as backend.

The Magento community believes Magento 2 to be the fastest platform as compared to its first version. This was known when the performance of both versions was checked using various cache settings in order to see which combination provides best results.

Presently, there are two servers each having 6 CPU cores and 8 GB RAM. Both the servers are using SSD for data storage.

Server set up:

As we discussed, there are two servers each with 6 CPU cores and 8GB RAM with SSD storage, Apache2.2.22, PHP 5.5.30, MYSQL 5.5.46+ Magento 1.9.2.2+ Sample data 1.9.1.0 and Full Page Cache 1.5.6

The second server comes with Apache 2.4.10, PHP 5.6.14, MYSQL 5.6.25 + Magento 2.0.0 + Sample data + Varnish 4.0.2. Here, in Magento 2; the full page cache settings are transformed to Varnish as it can be used as backend when needed.

Speed Test tools:

Here, we performed various tests with the Apache Jemeter. Magento Performance Kit was not used here as this performance Tool kit doesn’t support Magento CE 1.9.2.2 and is completely designed for Magento EE hence it is not suitable here.

From Magento 2.x, the toolkit supports CE and is different from Magento 1.x version. The toolkit measures only the server response time without considering AJAX. In order to test a website in a proper manner on Magento 2.x; here we will choose Selenium Webdriver Plugin for Apache JMeter.

With this plugin; one can use fully functional browser like as Google Chrome that is used for Performance test. The full page loading time can be measured easily including AJAX.

Performance Test Scenario:

The tests were performed in the below mentioned scenarios:

• When the guest visits home page
• When the guest goes to Category
• When the category is filtered by colour
• When the category is filtered by material/purpose

With this experiment, one can know the time difference between the page loading speed along with full page cache variants and without it. It consists of server response generation, network data transfer, page rendering by browser as well as AJAX needs execution time.

This test is very close to what user actually sees on the website. The user sees the page before it gets loaded fully and the data that we have received here can be treated as the worst case scenario.

The Performance results will be as follows:

The difference between sample data for Magento 1.9.2.2 and Magento 2.0.0 with FPC is it doesn’t have any inbuilt FPC and this can be considered as “off”. Later on, different variants of FPC usage can be compared in Magento 2.0.0 such as:

• FPC off
• FPC on , Varnish off
• FPC on, Varnish On.

When FPC is used with Varnish then it shows up to 30% increase in page load speed when compared with the variant where FPC is off and 3% increase when it is compared to the variant with only FPC on.

This shows that FPC in Magento 2.0.0 provides up to 27% increase for page load in browser. It is great result for free inbuilt feature. The page load speed in Magento 1.9.2.2 and FPC as well as in Magento 2.0.0 + FPC + Varnish is as mentioned here:

Take Away

FPC when used with Magento 2 increases the page load speed in the browser. With higher load, Varnish offers a bigger advantage by reducing the server load with smaller traffic when the margin is quite thin.

• Unnecessary usage of exclamation points: At times, you try too hard when you use more than one exclamation mark. This must be avoided. One per content is sufficient.
• Proof read again: Read the content at least thrice including spell check, grammar irrespective of the content.
