Digital Marketing and Bhagavad Gita – Part 3

So, till now we covered total five Bhagavad Gita quotes in our previous blogs related to digital marketing and Bhagavad Gita. Those were good enough to make everyone understand what online marketing is all about and how it can be perceived in order to achieve success.

This last part of the post will showcase the remaining quotes which will make it completely link digital marketing with this sacred holy book – The Bhagavad Gita.

Let’s not waste our time in idle gossip and quickly move ahead in order to get hold of remaining quotes and understand digital marketing completely from Gita point of view.

  • Quote 6: Every outcome is the result of your karma. It is the reaction of various inputs out of which some of them are not in your control.

Meaning of this quote in terms of digital marketing: Whatever efforts you make; email marketing is the main focus for all of them.

SEO, social media, content etc may not be in your control however with the use of emails; you can focus on single point and can do wonders in the field of marketing. Consumers can feel your product from various view points.
The email link is the final link that connects all touch points and then persuades users to take action. Talking in a philosophical way; it is an attempt to use emails as the focal point of marketing karma. Always treat it with care.

  • Quote 7: There’s nothing like right and wrong. These are just the judgements of our mind. For nature, everything is perfect.

Meaning of this quote in terms of digital marketing: For Digital Marketing, Social media is the nature or we can say universe.

Social media can be compared with universe and nature. Various entrepreneurs and marketers consider social media as a new fad that is influenced by Facebook and tweets of Twitter. However, these have different ideologies.

Human being is a social animal and human beings are influenced, inspired by social media. Consumer minds are prejudiced by social media and based on social signals, brands are evaluated. Always make sure that social media or nature is equal for all and there’s nothing wrong or right in the eyes of social media.

Make most use of social media and try to be the best buddy of your customers.

  • Quote 8: Doing the tasks focusing on input and accepting the output whatever it may be is the sign of a Karma Yogi. While on the other hand; when you do your tasks without worrying about input and output and just having faith in the God who will take care of you in every situation and circumstance is the sign of bhakti yogi.

Whereas doing tasks by appreciating the assistance of work force is a sign of Gyan Yogi.

Meaning of this quote in terms of digital marketing: It is the content marketing that can alter the minds of customers.

According to an expert; content is the only thing left in the marketing. When it comes to digital marketing; it is the content that drives sales, boosts loyalty and persuades customers to engage with each other. Without content; one cannot connect with the end user.

Paid marketing grabs the attention of visitors. Once the brand has received that special attention then there exists the content that drives the business. Marketers and entrepreneurs must understand this logic clearly. There are various work forces in digital marketing and to be the first choice of targeted customers; it is necessary to become a : Gyan Yogi” who understands the pain of its customers and shows empathy to them.

  • Quote 9: Lord Krishna appreciates all realities with affection but without judgement and hence he’s God

Meaning of this quote in terms of digital marketing: Every Start up has to face failures.

Marketing and business go hand in hand. Several wise men who have excelled in different ventures and businesses have stated that the default state of any start up is a failure. Before launching any campaign; marketers must learn to accept the bitter truth with open mind.

According to Lord Krishna; every entrepreneur and marketer must accept the truth without any judgements, with love and affection and in this process; they will understand what it actually means to be a GOD.

Take Away:

All the quotes discussed in this final part are equally useful as those available in the part 1 and part 2. So, the simple conclusion is to accept everything without any judgements from your mind.

Hope you enjoyed reading all three posts related to Digital Marketing and Bhagavad Gita. Enjoy the weekend, the festival of colours is nearing; be prepared to be colourful…

Digital Marketing and Bhagavad Gita – Part 2

Welcome Back Friends, hope you had an amazing week and had successfully achieved the targets. Previously, in one of our blogs; we had compared digital marketing with two Gita quotes. Hope you enjoyed that post. If you have missed reading that post then click here.

Today, again; we are back here with some more Bhagavad Gita quotes which will be related to digital marketing. So, let’ begin:

  • Quote 3: God is with you always but you fail to realize it:

Meaning of this quote in terms of digital marketing: Keep on analyzing the facts and figures as this will help you to get the solution for your problems. Understanding and analyzing analytics is important as it helps to reveal the hidden meanings as well as interpretations.

It helps you to dig deeper and know about the psychology of the customer thus understanding the meaning of website. Most of the marketers and entrepreneurs are very much self absorbed that they forget to find their own drawbacks which may be the key reason to failure.

  • Quote 4: The world around you is the perception based on your prejudices which is shaped by fears and fuelled by ignorance and people around you also have the world made of their own perception that is created by prejudices, fears and ignorance. With wisdom, you are able to accept yours as well as others perception.

Meaning of this quote in terms of digital marketing: In simple terms; we can say that SEO is actually connecting dots between information and ignorance.

Since long; we consider SEO as a deep secret. To explain SEO in simple form; we can say that it is like connecting dots between ignorance and information wherein your customer hits the search button to get some definite answers.

At times; he may fear due to ignorance thus willing to get quick solutions to its problems. The task of digital marketer is to treat search query with empathy knowing about the fear that your customer has and based on that, you must position yourself in such a way that he/she gets the answer at right moment. It is necessary to know the reason behind any search query.

  • Quote 5: Everyone has a limited reality. It is necessary to break this limitation of yours as well as others even if they are unable to do so.

Meaning of this quote in terms of digital marketing: Always consider conversion optimization as an important factor.

According to Steve Jobs; customer doesn’t have to be aware of what they want. The aim of digital marketer is to fill the gap and allow customer to understand the product thus making it easy for him to get the things he/she is in need of.

Conversion optimization is the technique that is used hardly by digital entrepreneurs and marketers in order to increase revenues and profits from the current traffic. Most of the marketers concentrate only on increasing traffic.

Using several techniques like as heat map, A/B testing; one can break the limitations of website design and then enable customers to reach the target endlessly. It is necessary to know the reality of the world as well as that of customers and then the reality of business will emerge automatically.

Take Away:

Digital Marketing and Bhagavad Gita

Sounds interesting; Isn’t it? What? This post title; what else? Bhagavad Gita is the holy book of Hindus and it has included every aspect of life which teaches us how to live life. With the teachings of Lord Krishna, one can learn the art of living.

Today, in this modern world where we are constantly busy in making money; we have forgotten these principles and virtues and have learnt to behave the way people behave with us; we have forgotten ourselves our own nature because we are involved deeply in taking revenges.

The same Bhagavad Gita is now used to teach digital marketing. Surprised! Shocked! You might be but yes that’s true; today here in this blog post; we will learn digital marketing with some Bhagavad Gita quotes.

Digital Marketing and Bhagavad Geeta

So, Let’s Begin:

Generally, when it comes to digital marketing; we are messed up with things like Backlinks, black hat, increasing likes and using several tools to spin content. But, with these quotes; we are sure to know digital marketing in proper manner:

  • Quote 1: There are people who wish others to shape their view and then there are those who see the world from their own view point. The former one is the result of ignorance that is generated due to inertia and the later one is due to control which generates out of fear.

When you are able to see the world from other’s view point then it is called pure wisdom which is generated out of empathy.

How this quote applies to Digital Marketing:

When you write the content, it must showcase the difficulties, pain points of the customers, content should reveal what customers feel. We all keep on saying “Content is King” but no one knows the exact way of creating this King.

In order to achieve quality, use Pain, sufferings of customers to write the content. Content creation needs maximum resources. An easy way to write content is known what exactly Empathy means: To observe or see things from customer’s point of view.

It is advisable to first identify the targeted customer and then keeping in mind that customer write the content. This empathy, kindness and focus can only be achieved when you are clear with the objective.

  • Quote 2: We believe outcomes must match expectations. This is because we want to control situation and when this doesn’t happen; we become angry; upset, unhappy and frightened.

But we don’t show actions because outcome is uncontrollable and hence we withdraw with patience to showcase our helplessness.

How this quote applies to Digital Marketing:

If you opt for paid marketing then you need patience and guts. Accept Failure. The main drawback of any digital marketer is the fear of losing control over the ideas. Many of the brilliant campaigns are put to an end when results don’t come as expected.

The quote describes the behaviour of an entrepreneur when he expects any outcome from a paid campaign and it is not as per his expectations then he/she becomes angry, upset, unhappy and frightened.

In order to tackle this; always measure the unexpected outcomes and then face them strongly without avoiding them.

Take Away:

Sounds interesting again, Isn’t it? For now, we have covered only these two quotes because we feel that it may be difficult for people to digest it and put it into practice. Let’s know how this has impacted your behaviour towards digital marketing.

Do share your views about this post and stay tuned as next Sunday; we will again come back with more of these quotes.

80% of Apps Available on Google Play Store are Free

Mobile apps have become an important part of our life in these days. Today, for everything; be it meditation, online shopping, books, news papers, Grocery stores every business has its own mobile app.

Hence, for every single app that we need we go to Google Play store and keep searching until we get that particular app or similar ones. In short; for Android users; Google Play store has been the only one stop destination that they can rely on for the apps of their choice.

Google Play Store

One of the reasons; Google Play store is preferred the most is because it offers apps for free download. Till now, hardly I have seen charges for any app. More than one million apps were analyzed on Google Play store.

The Highlights of this Research are as Follows:

  • Among all the apps available; largest category of apps is related to education sector which 8% of all apps. Total there are eight categories of apps viz. Education, entertainment, Personalization, Tools, Lifestyle, Books and Reference, Business, Travel and Local.

Out of these 53 % of apps are available for free download.

  • Among all the categories; the less downloaded ones were in Music which means music apps were only 0.06%. The study conducted by a well known research company revealed that 82% of all apps on Play store are available for free.
  • And not all free apps support advertisements.

Further, the study also shows that 47% of apps were installed less than 500 times and nearly 90% of apps were installed less than 50,000 times which can be considered a very bad figure.

If we talk about apps popularity then the most surprised ones are Google’s own apps like as Google Maps, YouTube, Gmail etch which are installed over billion times.

Well, there are other options as well apart from Google Play store and these are as follows:

  • Amazon App store: With over 0.4 million free and paid apps; it is second most popular app store after Google Play store. It has a unique method that offers one paid app every day for free download.
  • Getjar: Another option is Getjar that allows you to download, rate and review Android apps like in Google. However, here downloading free apps means submitting survey or viewing ads. It can be a good alternative to Android App store.
  • F- Droid: It is an app store that is developed to offer free and open source apps. If you feel that those apps are for you then it is the perfect place for you.
  • Aptoide: In certain devices, Google Play store doesn’t work properly. For these devices; Aptoide is perfect as it offers similar interface with high quality apps. It also offers most of the Google Play store paid apps for free by offering ads.
  • App Brain: If you are finding an alternative to download paid apps for free then this app store is a perfect place for you. Here, app developers keep posting their paid apps so that these can be downloaded for free.

One can keep track of new comers to get exclusive free apps. Further, it has good interface along with appropriate app ratings and comments from the entire AppBrain community.

Apple Smart Keyboard Vs. Logitech Create: Which One is Best Smart Connector Keyboard?

iPad Pro has different accessories as compared to other Apple devices. It has two smart connector accessories that have different keyboard style experiences like as each of the one addressing two various types of tablet users.

However, how we must know which Keyboard is the best; Apple’s Smart Keyboard or Logitech Create. Here, in this blog post; you will come to know about the best smart connector Keyboard.

Let’s Move Ahead:

In the competition among the two; let’s see which one is the best; Apple’s Smart Keyboard is easy to move and portable in nature. Hence, it is the most preferable one. However, if you need laptop style configuration and protective rear case then Logitech Create is perfect for you.

Apple Smart Keyboard:

The main area of focus is portability. There’s no case to protect the back of iPad Pro which acts as a Smart Cover along with integrated Keyboard. It also has its pros and cons.

The main drawback is it lacks backlight and has less key travels which offers users only one angle. Still, the official Apple Smart Keyboard is most preferable over Logitech Create.

As of now, iPad Pro is not a complete replacement for Mac Book. At times; when you need a keyboard on the go that can be used with Jumbo sized iPad, Apple’s keyboard is great option.

This Apple Smart Keyboard is priced at $169 which is expensive as compared to the option of remaining two. Outside it looks like Apple’s Smart Cover however it has an extra space that is used to accommodate the keyboard that is hidden inside.

This Smart Keyboard has inferior which cleans the smudges and fingerprints off the iPad Display when these are not in use. When these are closed; the iPad Pro screen gets automatically locked.

Further, this smart keyboard easily snaps on and once the case is folded in a triangle, you are done and ready to go. Here, the keys are covered in an easy to use nylon cover which is developed to avoid slippage and then is sealed to protect the iPad against Spills which offers a rebound effect that replaces the need for physical springs.

Even though it is thin, the keys are very soft thus making it easy for users to press the buttons and click on various links. There was a doubt that Apple Smart Keyboard may not provide proper stability when in use.

But when tested, it was quite opposite. It was easy to balance iPad Pro on the lap with Smart Keyboard as it is relatively sturdy, flat base and has secure magnetic connection to the device.

With iPad, it is not necessary to have a keyboard all the time. Hence, it is possible to make Smart Keyboard disconnection easy and it is one of the great selling points. The Smart keyboard can be easily packed and folded while protecting the glass screen on iPad Pro.

This can be removed entirely and its thin design shows that iPad Pro is more portable than a Mac Book. The touch typing accuracy on Smart Keyboard is awesome. This is another area where Logitech’s Keyboard gains points over Apple’s especially with a keyboard home button along with volume and brightness controls.

Logitech Create:

As compared to Apple Smart Keyboard, it is slightly cheaper. It is priced at $145 and it actually comes with more features that too at a lower price. But there are additional features which add bulk to the Smart Connector accessory thus making it less convenient for occasional use.

This Logitech Create provides a protective case that covers the back of the iPad Pro in which the tablet is to be put when not in use. Inserting and removing the iPad Pro from it is very easy however it is an additional step which makes keyboard less convenient to use as compared to Apple’s alternative.

Now, if you wish to keep a keyboard connected to the iPad every time then you need to have the convenience of an integrated back light, then Logitech is a better option for you.

With this accessory; one can make iPad Pro, a full- fledged laptop replacement instead of an occasional Keyboard that can be used for typing longer documents. The protective exterior is made of Ballistic Nylon.

It is used with a textured woven feel and is akin to folio style keyboards that are available for other iPad models. This keyboard is recessed slightly thus preventing the keys from being pressed against the iPad when the case gets closed.

When it is opened, users simply take the bottom half of the iPad Pro to rest it on Smart Connector where it gets magnetically attached. The two indentations in the front case make it easy for iPad Pro to be angled in two different directions when these are placed on a table.

One is connected to the Smart Connector with one angle used for typing and another is used for lessening the capability value. With Apple’s option; Logitech offers satisfying secure magnetic connection to the Smart Connector when it is actually placed into typing mode.

Talking about the keys, Logitech offers hard plastic keys with thicker design that are preferable more than Apple Keyboard thus offering a true laptop experience. With the designated row of keyboard shortcuts at the top is a huge bonus as this offers quick access to search, control media, home as well as lock buttons.

Take Away:

Which keyboard is perfect will depend on the user case? So, if you wish to get a full time laptop replacement then Logitech Create is a perfect device for you. While those who wish to use Keyboard occasionally for them; Apple Smart Keyboard is the perfect choice.

Hope this blog post will serve as a perfect guide for those who wish to buy iPad Pro or Logitech Create. Loved this post! Stay connected with us for more such guidance and updates about new tech devices.

Do you Find Google as the Default Search Engine in your iPhone? Here’s the Reason

In 2014, Google paid handsome amount of $1 billion to Apple to have it search bar as the default iOs search engine. This was done as a part of social revenue sharing deal. The details are available in the transcript of the ongoing legal battle between Oracle and Google.

Google had an agreement with Apple stating that whatever amount of revenue it generates through Apple Device; some percentage will be given to Apple. There’s lot of inspection about the confidential agreement between Google and Apple.

However, this has been never revealed by Google and Apple. Still today, there contract terms are unclear and all the details from court proceedings are yet pending. This shows that Google genuinely offers certain percentage of revenue that is generated via searches made on iOs devices.

google and apple

The data is to be processed and mined from iPhone users. The attorney says that an anonymous Google witness said that at one point of time, the revenue share was 34% as mentioned in the court transcript.

Another request was then filed by Google for the transcript to be sealed and redacted and hence Apple then requested the same via separate request. Later on; Apple’s CEO criticized the Google’s business model which is entirely based on advertising.

This separated Apple from those companies that monetize personal data. One might like the free services however according to Apple; it’s not worthy to have email, search history and even the family photos in the data that is mined and sold off for advertising purpose.

Oracle at present is entrapped in copyright infringement lawsuit with Google. This has been continued since 2010. It says that Google used Java Software without paying it for developing Android.

Google has generated revenue of about $31 billion and profit of $22 billion via its Android operating system. Oracle is getting royalties from Google over its use of Java language and on the other hand, Google says that it must use Java without paying any fee.

Does this really matter?

Yes, if you are using iPhone then this will be definitely the question for you. However, we can say that Apple allows its users to change the browser from Google to Safari but Google is still its default.

This dispute is actually raised by Oracle and hence this information came to limelight. Oracle says that its rights are infringed by Google. Further; as we mentioned earlier Google and Android shared some amount from the revenue.

These Payments made Google a default search engine for mobile and thus allowed to continue getting cash in iOS. But if we talk about Siri then its default search engine is Microsoft Bing which shows that Apple is trying to detach itself from Google.

Further, Google makes handsome revenue from Android in the form of certain percentage from apps sale as well as media on Google Play store. It also earns from Display Advertising.

Take Away:

Well, this debate will go on between the three giants. Anyways we can say that all three are dependent on one another for the sake of money. However, the aim behind this blog post was to make aware our readers about the disputes going on in the online industry.

This leaves a message for all of us: No matter how successful you become there are circumstances that won’t allow you to be at peace. So, never exceed in getting anything that takes away your peace.
